Ebook Download _TOP_ The Epub File The Art Of Computer

Ebooks are normally available in two different file formats, either an EPUB file or a MOBI file. Which file you download depends on what kind of device you use to read eBooks. EPUB files can be read on a wide variety of devices including Sony Readers, Nooks, and Apple devices. MOBI files are compatible with Kindle products. Neither file is prinatable, and we do not offer eBooks in PDF form. Printing eBooks is a violation of our copyright policy.

PLEASE NOTE: eBooks are not returnable, so please make sure you have the right product in your cart before purchasing! Once you have paid for your order, you will receive an email with a web link good for 48 hours. Here you will have the option of downloading an EPUB or MOBI file of the eBook. To limit sharing, this link is only good for one IP address, so we recommend that you download to your computer first, then move the file to your device. Downloading directly to a handheld device may result in error or loss of the file later on.

Note that transferring an eBook to your Kindle via USB saves the file directly to that particular device only. If you have multiple Kindles, or use the Kindle app on your smartphone or tablet computer in addition to a physical Kindle, eBooks transferred via USB will not be available across all of your devices without repeating the transfer process for each device.

Other ereaders: download the compatible epub file. This compatible file has been prepared to work in all ereaders, with the exception of Kindles and extremely old ereader devices. Note that while this file will also work on Kobo devices and software, it will lack some functionality and look worse than our specially-prepared kepub file.

The best way to transfer our epubs to your Kobo device is to download the kepub file instead of the epub file. If you prefer our epub file, then your best bet is to use the Calibre ebook management program with a special plugin. Calibre knows how to talk to your Kobo device to ensure our epubs look and function optimally.

You can get help on any individual feature of the converters by mousing overit in the GUI or running ebook-convert dummy.html .epub -h at a terminal.A good place to start is to look at the following demo file that demonstratessome of the advanced features

This happens because of an Amazon bug. They try to download a cover for thebook from their servers and when that fails, they replace the existing coverthat calibre created with a generic cover. For details see this forum thread. As of version4.17, calibre has a workaround, where if you connect the Kindle to calibreafter the covers have been destroyed by Amazon, calibre will restore themautomatically. So in order to see the covers on your Kindle, you have to:

calibre embeds fonts in e-book files it creates. E-book files support embeddingonly TrueType and OpenType (.ttf and .otf) fonts. Most fonts on macOS systemsare in .dfont format, thus they cannot be embedded. calibre shows only TrueTypeand OpenType fonts found on your system. You can obtain many such fonts on theweb. Simply download the .ttf/.otf files and add them to the Library/Fontsfolder in your home folder.

Something on your computer is preventing calibre from accessing its owntemporary files. Most likely the permissions on your Temp folder are incorrect.Go to the folder file:C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local in WindowsExplorer and then right click on the file:Temp folder, select Properties and go tothe Security tab. Make sure that your user account has full control for thisfolder.

What is an ebook bundle? Most of our titles are available as a DRM-free ebook bundle containing PDF, Mobi, and ePub files. If the bundle you download is a compressed (ZIP) file, simply uncompress it. Once uncompressed, you should have access to all three formats.

We consider the entire ebook bundle and its files to be one entity. The ebook bundle will always contain a PDF, but it may also contain Mobi and ePub files. That means your rights in the ebooks that you purchase from us apply to the bundle as a whole, not to each separate file in the bundle. Please think of your ebook bundle as the equivalent of a printed book. We do.

How do I receive my ebook bundle? When you purchase an ebook (bundle) on, a download link should appear in the Files section of your user account, along with an email notification telling you that your files are ready to download. Simply log into your account, and you'll be able to access your No Starch Press ebook library from any type of computer or mobile device. If you have problems downloading your ebook files, please email [email protected].

What's an ePub or Mobi file, and why should I care? You should be able to read PDFs on any operating system using a number of applications including viewers built into Internet browsers. You should be able to read our EPUB files on the Kindle, iPhone and iPad, iBooks, Nook, Kobo, and on the macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems. You should also be able to view EPUB and MOBI ebooks using desktop software like Calibre (

How do I get my ebooks on my mobile device? All of our ebooks are DRM-free. That means you're free to load them onto the device of your choice and start reading. For advice on how to load your files onto your device, here are some helpful pointers:

Can I print my ebook? Share it? The formats in your ebook bundle (PDF, ePub, and Mobi files) are DRM-free. We've never used DRM because we trust our readers and we believe that you should have the same rights in ebooks as in printed books.

That said, please be sure that the use of your ebook bundle is consistent with any copyright restrictions, and with fair use. Almost any personal use of your ebook bundle is acceptable, including making a backup copy, copying it to your personal storage (whether local or online), etc. But making and sharing multiple copies is not playing fair, so please don't do that. (Posting your ebook files to torrent sites is also not playing fair, so don't do that either. If you have any questions about this, ask us: [email protected].) Like a printed book, you can lend your eBook bundle to a friend, as long as you don't keep any copies of the ebook bundle or the files it contains once you've loaned it out.

What do I do if my ebook Isn't rendering properly? Unfortunately, as much as we try, we are unable to test every book with every device. If you are unable to read an ePub or Mobi file contained in your ebook bundle, you'll still find that the PDF version of your book renders cleanly. All ebook bundles include PDFs. But if you do encounter rendering errors, please email us at [email protected] with any specific feedback, and we'll do our best to fix the issue.

With Shopify's Digital Downloads app, you can upload digital files like videos, songs, and graphic art as products in your store. When a customer purchases a product with a digital file, they receive a link to download the file.

The CSV file export option, which is at the bottom of the Orders page, generates a spreadsheet file of all digital orders that have been processed by the app. This means that even if the customer has not yet downloaded the product, there is still a record of the customer's order in this report.

If you check the box next to Display download link on checkout page, then the customer sees a Download now link on the order confirmation page. The customer also receives an email with the ability to download the file.

If you uncheck the box next to Display download link on checkout page, then the customer doesn't see a Download now link on the order confirmation page. Instead, they receive an email with the ability to download the file.

If you replace a file for a variant that is already published and sold to customers, then customers with its download link who haven't hit their download limit can download the replacement file. They won't be able to download the old file that you replaced anymore.

An Ebook is an electronic version of a book, containing the same information included in the paper version of the book. It can be read on electronic devices, such as ebook readers (like Kindle or Nook devices), or by using special apps on tablets, phones or laptop computers. Unlike other electronic documents, such as Word docs or PDF's, these are designed for on-screen only use and can not be printed. These Ebooks also require certain software to be read, though the software is usually free, and often already loaded on most electronic devices.

Previously, there were two popular formats of ebooks: MOBI files, which were viewed on Amazon Kindle Devices and EPUB, which was used in all other readers. As of 2022, Amazon now allows EPUB files to be added to your library, so we only sell these types of files, to keep it simple.

The first step to reading your book is to download it to the device on which you'll read it. After your purchase, you have a few opportunities to download it. First, after you complete your payment, the order details page has a link from which you can download the ebook file. Click this link to download the file straight to your device. If you don't download it then, you can always return to (you may need to sign in), and click on the order number to go back to the details page and download it. Thirdly, we'll also send you an email with a link to the file in the same way as the order details screen.

Once you download the file, there's one more step. When you buy an ebook directly from Ascension's site, it is not the same as when bought (for example) online in the Kindle Store, or the Apple Books Store, or the Barnes and Noble Nook Store. If you are used to buying books in those environments, you may know that upon doing so, it is automatically added to your library to read using that software. But if it is not bought in that environment, your device may not know how you want to read it.
