Summer Nights - Can't stand the heat? Stay cool with this Thymed Event! Featuring all your favorite summer plants like Strawburst, Maybee and Kiwibeast This event is only available between 7/1 and 7/9.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 is a free-to-play game, unlike its predecessor, supporting in-app purchasing of coins in order to utilize certain power up abilities: Plant Food, a new power-up, allows plants to power up for varying amounts of time. Each plant has its own ability when given Plant Food. Players can complete the whole game without purchasing these abilities, some of which can be earned throughout the game instead of being purchased. Additionally, users can level up their plants using Seed Packets (found in-game or bought with real money) to allow them to permanently enhance their abilities.
Players can start an optional tutorial which takes place in front of the player's house. Afterward, the player travels to Ancient Egypt and can win in-game World Keys by completing Day 6 to unlock a series of additional period settings ("worlds"); this required a certain number of stars in earlier updates. As players go through levels, they unlock new plants each with advantages and unique boosts.
Like the first game, the game starts with one lane on the lawn and the first plant the player gets is the Peashooter. The zombies appear once the player plants their second Peashooter. After defeating all the zombies, the player wins the Sunflower.
Before the initial battle in Wild West - Day 25, Dr. Zomboss wonders if the player considered that they are "Sharing in Crazy Dave's madness" and that "The zombies and him are normal people trying to help". But Crazy Dave only mentions that Zomboss is probably going to say there are "No spoons". After the level is beaten, Crazy Dave exclaims that no spoons were used in the level, although spoons totally exist. Dr. Zomboss replies that he is right since they "have no existential conflict over the nature of spoons".
Before the initial battle in Lost City - Day 32, Dr. Zomboss tells Crazy Dave and Penny not to think about usurping his discovery of Lost City, as he and his zombies have already submitted their find to the "Eminent Journal of the Missing and the Mislaid". After the level is beaten, Crazy Dave complains that he still does not have his taco even after all of his discovering. Penny tells Crazy Dave that the search will no doubt continue.
Before the initial battle in Far Future - Day 25, Dr. Zomboss talks about how Crazy Dave is very helpful in the fight against the zombies and then says that his sleeper agent "will turn against the player when a secret word is said" and then "Hypno-Zombnosis". Crazy Dave shows up and asks to borrow the player's brains but then says he meant hot sauce. After the level is beaten, Crazy Dave snaps out of "Hypno-zombnosis", and Dr. Zomboss tries to hypnotize him again, only to forget the secret word.
Before the initial battle in Dark Ages - Night 20, Dr. Zomboss tries to infer that the reason Plant Food causes plants to be so violent, is that Plant Food is made from zombies. After the level is beaten, Penny says that from her research Plant Food does not contain zombies or zombie byproducts. Crazy Dave also notes that plants should not eat zombies who eat plants, except for Chomper, who needs the fiber.
Before the initial battle in Big Wave Beach - Day 32, Dr. Zomboss tells the player about how Chomper and Bikini Zombie have been extra cozy lately, making him think that a beachside plant-zombie romance is in bloom and how Chomper has the appetite of a zombie, making his loyalty questionable. After the level is beaten, Penny says that Dr. Zomboss was trying to sow "seeds of discontent" with Crazy Dave saying that they're the only ones that are going to "sow the seeds".
Plants vs. Zombies 2 (originally known as Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time) is a 2013 free tower defense video game developed by PopCap Games and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to Plants vs. Zombies, and was released worldwide on Apple App Store on August 15, 2013, and Google Play on October 23, 2013. The player defends the lawn from zombies by placing a variety of plants. The player must battle the zombies in different time periods, including Ancient Egypt, the Golden Age of Piracy, the Wild West, the Last Ice Age, Mesoamerica, the future, the Early Middle Ages, the 1980s, the Jurassic Period, 1960s and the present.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 is a free game, unlike its predecessor, supporting in-app free coins to use certain power-up abilities: Plant Food, a new power-up, allows plants to power up for varying amounts of time. Each plant has its own ability when given Plant Food. Players can complete the whole game without purchasing these abilities, some of which can be earned throughout the game instead of being purchased. Additionally, users can level up their plants using Seed Packets (found in-game real money[2]) to allow them to permanently enhance their abilities. Players can start an optional tutorial in front of the player's house. Afterward, the player travels to Ancient Egypt and can win in-game World Keys by beating Dr. Zomboss at the end of each world, used to unlock new worlds (this required a certain number of stars in earlier updates). Worlds include Pirate Seas, Lost City, Jurassic Marsh, etc. The Chinese version has five additional worlds, which are Kongfu World, Sky City, Steam Age, Heian Age, and Renaissance Age.[3] As players go through levels, they unlock new plants each with advantages and unique boosts.
Dr. Zomboss never fails to make his subjects deliver brains - unless they go up against your house, as evidenced by new statistics. Dr. Zomboss has noticed that your thinking and quick planting skills have made you the #1 defender against zombies, and he has now changed his plans accordingly. He has now held you and your home hostage, turning your house into a flying ship named The House-inator 3000 that can only be controlled by Zomboss's control remote. He carefully places your home in many "wacky" places, forcing you to adapt to the environmental changes. In addition to this, you are now the only target Dr. Zomboss has for the time being, so he has unleashed all his power onto your yard.
Plants vs. Zombies: The Wacky House is, unlike its predecessor, a game sold for $10 USD, however like its predecessor, The Wacky House has some in-app purchases (though not as plentiful as Plants vs. Zombies 2). The main goal of the game is the same, which is to defend yourself from the zombie outbreak using various exotic plants found in the game. New to this game are the rare plants. They are alternate versions of the familiar plants. Each world is completed in a linear way, however after completing a world, the player can play its parallel variant for more plants and for an extra challenge. Basics is an exception to this, as it is only unlocked upon completion of Tornado Valley, and it is also the only parallel world to be required.
The game takes a much slower approach to gameplay than Plants vs. Zombies 2, with longer levels and more pricey plants. The turbo-button returns, if the player wishes to speed up the slower parts of gameplay.
